| If the quota dispensation does come in, it would make Signing Satae even better as he would be one of the players coming off the quota. But Burgess might not be interested in him anyway so might just be all wishful thinking. And to be fair i've barely watched any Catalans games this year or last, so i don't know if he's still as good and effective as he used to be?? Just out of interest who does everyone think will definately go next year? Musgrove is improving so may be re-signed, just hope it's not an improvement as he's trying to get a new contract, and i'm unsure on Tai. Although he isn't the best with his attack he's still a good centre, if Burgess is set on Lindop long term he might let him go, but he might keep him another year to help Lindop develop more and not burn him out too soon? And Dan Russell, i think unless a class second rower becomes available i think he will still be here next year, although i hope Holroyd is earmarked long term. He's still young and will develop a bit more size through the years to help him prolong his playing career. And Oli Leyland, it seem Burgess has no confidence in him at all, so who knows. I also think unless Wrench bursts back on the scene and is undroppable, and gets a long run of games i don't think we'll re-sign him. And i think King warrants re-signing, but odd that we haven't already.

Alffi_7:Wires71:Alffi_7:Yeah strange one, low risk obviously but still in my view takes a spot that Thewlis Jnr could have taken sooner. I guess 50% of not very much is still not very much - wont be having a great impact on the cap, and obviously on loan would count as zero if that was the route we went down. Thewlis Jnr does not have a contract for 2026 and beyond as yet according to his brother in the WG. I would suggest that if Ollie does - Jake should! 100% agree - I imagine its in hand. Totally agree about Thewlis Jnr on the limited viewings I've had, he looks like a decent player in the making and one that isn't too far off at that, I must admit to being a bit confused about our Ollie's and our Alfie's reading the posts but not the article Alfie the winger I feel a bit sorry for but it's a tough sport and his performance in the cup game at Widnes would have been very hard for anyone to recover from

| The last 2 former souths teammates burgess has signed have hardly been roaring successes. Maybe he should leave that tactic alone.

| The Alfie signing was basically a Temu version of the Burrell signing and that was disastrous. Gimmicks. When will we ever learn?
I think it was done to pad out a very weak 2025 recruitment haul.

| Honestly signing Alfie doesn't bother me at all, He'll have cost us absolute peanuts and and only 50% on the cap. He has skills and a bit of size so if he works out happy days, if not it's nothing lost. Jake Thewlis i do hope we re-sign as he looks pretty good, him and Josh at Centre and Wing together i think would be a good combo.

| Alfie Johnson is on the same level as the amateur RL players I watch, he isn`t even good enough for a Championship team
